Former Chelsea forward Timo Werner returning to the Premier League looks unlikely.

Timo Werner has been linked to a few clubs in England amid a difficult period in his second spell at RB Leipzig.

However, according to Bild, joining a Premier League side in January is not something the 27-year-old is currently considering.

The German outlet claims that he really did not like all of the media hype and pressure surrounding the players during his time at Chelsea.

90min recently reported that Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham United could all be options for Werner. He has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Will Timo Werner return to the Premier League one day?

Based on Bild’s report, it seems highly unlikely. Werner really struggled during his time at Chelsea and it looks like he did not like life in England in general.

In total, he scored just 10 goals in 56 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

His Leipzig homecoming has not exactly gone to plan, with the Germany international picking up a few injuries and no longer a starter at the Red Bull Arena. However, it is still a good environment for him.

Werner is Leipzig’s all-time top scorer. He is always going to be loved there and shown support.

That is not to say the Chelsea fans did not get behind their former striker. But it would not have been a surprise if they eventually ran out of patience with him, especially with the team struggling right now.

At Leipzig, he will get more leeway for all that he has done for the club. It is not a shock, then, that he is happy there and does not seem too keen on coming back to England. Never say never, but we just do not see Werner returning to the Premier League, at least not for now anyway.
