Kai Havertz’s former teammate Roberto Hilbert said the Bayer Leverkusen ace has the talents that could help Chelsea win Premier League titles.
The 21-year-old is currently preparing for Leverkusen’s Europa League quarter-final clash against Inter Milan.
However, according to a recent claim by Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol, Havertz will join Chelsea after the conclusion of Leverkusen’s Europa League campaign.
Having already bagged 17 goals and eight assists this season, Havertz would certainly be a creative, goal-scoring midfielder Lampard could rely on next season.
Havertz’s former teammates Hilbert, who witnessed Havertz grow up from a teenager into a Bundesliga sensation has compared his playing style to fellow Germans Michael Ballack and Mesut Ozil.
He told Goal: “[Havertz] is the next big, big player to come from Germany.
“I was there when he made his debut in our team at 17. In this generation, I think he will be a game-changer. He is a really smart player, quick and he is a nice person.
“He has some things Ballack had, some things Ozil had, but he puts it into one package which is what makes him so dangerous.”
Hilbert, who spent four years at Leverkusen, even believes Havertz could help Chelsea win silverware, if he moves to London this summer.
“I think he has a level of talent that nobody else has,” he added.
“When Chelsea sign him for the next years then I think it will be a great chance to help them win titles in the Premier League.”
