Chelsea have reportedly finalised a deal to sign wonderkid Denner from Corinthians for an eight-figure fee.

Denner was linked with the Blues late in the January transfer window but the move has seemingly taken until March to get over the line.

The youngster becomes the fifth Brazilian talent to join the West London club in the last few years after Estevao Willian, Andrey Santos, Angelo Gabriel and Deivid Washington.

Denner age and height

Denner Alves Evangelista Pereira was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil on February 25, 2008 and joined Corinthians’ youth team at 13. World-class Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes is his cousin.

Denner is five feet, nine inches tall (1.75 metres). He is slightly taller than the two shortest players in Chelsea’s first team, Marc Cucurella (1.73m) and Pedro Neto (1.74m).

What is Denner‘s best position?

Denner’s best position is left-back. That’s where he plays for both Corinthians’ and Brazil’s youth teams. Perhaps Chelsea view him as the long-term successor for Cucurella.

Denner stats

Denner plays for Corinthians’ under-20 team in the Brasileiro U20 and the Copinha despite only turning 17 in February.

He has made 18 appearances (1,452 minutes) for them in the last year and provided four goals and one assist.

Denner has four caps for Brazil’s U15 side and has been selected in the squad for the U17 South American Championship 2025.

Denner transfer value

It’s too early in Denner’s career to accurately gauge his transfer value, but Chelsea have agreed to pay £8 million plus £3m in add-ons to sign him.

That’s hard to believe for a player yet to make a single senior appearance, however, it will become a bargain if he ever makes it at Stamford Bridge.

What is Denner‘s Chelsea contract?

Denner will join Chelsea in the summer of 2026 after he turns 18. He has penned a six-year deal that will run until the end of the 2031/32 season.
