Chelsea are seeking reinforcements in several areas this month. One of those is central midfield, and more specifically, a creative midfielder. Although the club could pursue a well-established European star, there is a player currently playing in the Championship who could prove to be just as good of a signing.
That player is Eberechi Eze. The QPR midfielder is having a hugely successful season so far and could be ready for the step up to the Premier League. He has scored ten goals and provided six assists in 26 Championship appearances so far, establishing himself as one of The Hoops most important players.

Since a short spell on loan at Wycombe Wanderers in 2017, Eze has come into the QPR side and got better and better as time has gone on. He made his England U-21 debut in November of last year and will be hoping to prove himself in the national team set-up in the coming months.
His main attributes are his passing range, dribbling ability and eye for goal. The midfielder is fast becoming one of the most exciting prospects in the Championship and it will surely only be a matter of time before he makes a move to the Premier League.

Although the step up is a big one, it could be worth the risk for Chelsea. He is likely to be available for a reasonable price and will fit in well with the other young English talent currently breaking into the first-team.
