'Wrong striker': Some Chelsea fans don't want to sign 23-year-old who Messi called 'complete'

A collection of Chelsea supporters on social media were clear in their message to Roman Abramovich about potentially moving for Lautaro Martinez.

According to FCInterNews, Martinez’s name came up in conversation whilst the Blues were speaking to Achraf Hakimi’s representative, Alejandro Camano.

Camano is the agent of both Inter Milan stars, the club Chelsea are trying to raid this summer.

Martinez is contracted to the Seria A champions until 2023, but talks over an extension have stalled.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Despite the 23-year-old’s uncertain situation, plenty of Blues fans had no desire in shipping him over to Stamford Bridge.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

Chelsea have already attempted to prize Hakimi from Inter, whilst also showing interest in Romelu Lukaku.

They have yet to show serious interest in Martinez, who has perhaps gone under the radar compared to his two terrific teammates.

19 goals in 48 appearances last campaign is not a shabby return for the Argentine striker, especially compared to the tallies managed in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

He also has the endorsement of a certain Lionel Messi.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona talisman said: “I think I’ve already mentioned that Lautaro is an impressive forward, especially because I think he’s very complete.”

As it stands, Erling Haaland remains Chelsea’s priority centre-forward signing ahead of next season.

But with so many obstacles in the way, Abramovich might have to turn his attention towards alternative options, including Martinez.
