Jason Cundy says Chelsea should be concerned about the news that Manchester City are reportedly close to signing Erling Haaland.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Cundy confessed he feared for his former side following the announcement about Borussia Dortmund’s striker.
Will City get Haaland?
According to Sky Sports, City are preparing to pay out Haaland’s release clause that can be activated this summer.
If this is the case, the Premier League champions could land his almost priceless signature for £62m (Sky).
For a player with such potential and ginormous talent, this would go down as something of a bargain in the footballing stratosphere.

Not to mention potentially handing Pep Guardiola the keys to complete domination in England and Europe.
A definitive centre-forward is arguably the one piece missing from Pep’s puzzle.
City’s attempts to sign Harry Kane last summer promoted such a theory.
But now it appears a new number nine will be gracing the Etihad pretty soon.
And there are few better in the business than Haaland at the moment.
The 21-year-old has scored 25 times across a season disrupted by injury, chasing the 41 he managed in 2020/21.
Add those goals to City’s destructive attacking power and the possibilities are rather scary.
Especially for those tasked with stopping Guardiola’s demigod-like squad.
Chelsea cannot lose their concentration
Chelsea will be back again to try and prevent light blue (or maybe red) ribbons from being placed on the league trophy, having failed to do so this term.
Although, Thomas Tuchel’s challenge could be even greater if Haaland makes his way to Manchester.

However, whilst still sounding slightly nervous about the thought of a Haaland-led siege, Cundy urged the Blues to focus on their own issues first.
“Stop crying, stop moaning, stop complaining about the price tag. Teams have got to find another way because there is another way,” he insisted.
“Are you worried as a Chelsea fan? Does it make the gap even bigger between you and them with this signing?” asked Andy Goldstein.
“Yes, but we’ve got to find a way,” replied Cundy.
“We’ve just spent £97m by the way on (Romelu) Lukaku, so I’d be a hypocrite if I sat here and say ‘Oh that’s outrageous. How can they spend that?’ We’ve just spent £97m on Lukaku.
“I do not have a problem with what City are doing.
“We (Chelsea) have a damn good manager, who knows what happens when the owners come in. Who says we can’t challenge next season?”
Lukaku is at a loose end
It is the fact that Chelsea bought Lukaku for such a significant figure that might cause them to regret not chasing after Haaland more seriously.

The Belgian international’s return to Stamford Bridge has not, to put it lightly, lived up to expectations.
If Tuchel’s men are to challenge for the league title, they need someone to fire in the goals at a greater rate of knots than their club-record signing.
Is it too late to ambush City’s transfer plans?
