Chelsea have made it a clear aim of their new project to invest in some of the best young players in the game.
While the Blues’ academy are losing faith in a path to the first team, there has been an appetite to secure the services of the top prospects around the world before their elite rivals have been able to.
Perhaps the most notable addition so far has been Estevao Willian. The Brazilian is set to join up with the first team as soon as next summer.
It has been hinted that the signing of Estevao was a ‘crazy story’ and Chelsea will be hoping he lives up to his potential as one of the best players in the game.

Chelsea give trial to Emile Witbooi
Africa has been a continent where they have been searching for a potential superstar too, and may well be hoping they have discovered one in the form of Emile Witbooi.
There are a plethora of Chelsea legends who are from Africa, including the likes of Didier Drogba and Michael Essien.
Felix Johnston has claimed that Witbooi has been handed a four-week trial to prove his worth at Cobham.
He said: “Chelsea have taken 16 year old South African talent Emile Witbooi on a 4 week trial.
“Witbooi plays for Cape Town FC and is primarily a left winger. He’s already represented South Africa at U20 level, recently helping them win the COSAFA U20 tournament.”
Witbooi in the same position as Tyrique George
Witbooi has previously been described as a ‘talented’ youngster during his time playing in South Africa, and has been playing a few years above his age.
Chelsea do already have an extremely talented young option in their ranks at left-wing in the form of Tyrique George.
George is likely to be involved in the Conference League clash with Noah tomorrow, after he was left out of U21s action last night.
Despite them looking to defend their 100% record in the competition, it may be a chance for Enzo Maresca to get a proper look at one of his most promising talents.
