Chelsea may reportedly decide to loan out youngster Cesare Casadei next month.

Casadei, who joined Chelsea in the summer from Inter Milan for £12million (Guardian), is an exciting teenager on the club’s books.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been impressing in the Blues academy side so far this season and is still waiting for a senior debut.

However, the Italian youngster was involved in first-team training during Chelsea’s recent trip to Abu Dhabi this month. Graham Potter decided to integrate a number of talented academy stars alongside the senior players not involved at the World Cup.

Chelsea may loan out Cesare Casadei

According to The Athletic, Casadei has been earmarked by Chelsea as one of the young players that could be loaned out in the January transfer window.

The attacking midfielder doesn’t turn 20 until January, but he’s a physically strong individual with a mature build.

In our view, it would be great to watch him spend the second half of the season away from Cobham and out on loan.

He’s only been in England a few months and there won’t be many better schools than experiencing the physicality and pace of Championship football.

Casadei’s immediate path into the Chelsea first team appears to be blocked, but a successful loan spell should push him closer to the main group.

As it stands, the Blues have the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Carney Chukwuemeka, Denis Zakaria and N’Golo Kante competing for midfield positions. How many of those will still be at the club at the start of next season, though?
