Graham Potter used 18-year-old Lewis Hall in Chelsea’s two games before the World Cup break, so other academy player should be encouraged that a genuine route into the senior squad still exists.
Castledine has been involved in some first-team training during Potter’s reign, so he’s got to try impress whenever he gets the chance.
In fairness, it sounds like he’s way ahead of schedule in his development and the best option will be just to enjoy his football rather than put too much pressure on himself.
