The international break has handed a number of Chelsea players who have not been solid in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans a chance to show what they can do.

The Argentine has made very few unforced changes to his side so far this season, and that looks as if it is finally beginning to click for the Blues.

They have won two league games on the spin, with it also being three wins consecutively in all competitions following a tough start to the campaign.

One player who has struggled in particular for minutes is Noni Madueke, with him at times not being names in the squad despite not being injured.

It emerged that he had been dropped off the back of Pochettino’s anger of him going out, with a video coming out after showing him partying.

Madueke earning his chance

Last night saw the 21-year-old take to the pitch for the England U21 side, alongside club teammate Cole Palmer and Chelsea loanee Bashir Humphreys.

While the former Manchester City man went off injured, Madueke made sure he took his opportunity with both hands.

He scored twice, one of which being a truly stunning goal as he cut in from the right wing to fire home.

While opportunities for Chelsea have been limited up to now for a variety of reasons, last night’s display may have finally been enough to earn him his chance.

Palmer’s potential injury could open up an opportunity on the right of attack, and Madueke is finally showing this season that he is ready for that opportunity.
