Mauricio Pochettino is an Argentinian football manager who has previously been at the helm of Tottenham Hotspur, PSG and Chelsea.
Chelsea confirmed that Pochettino would be their new head coach on the 29th of May 2023, with the Argentine set to begin his new role on the 1st of July 2023 on a two-year contract, with a club option of a further year.
Pochettino had a rocky season at Stamford Bridge, struggling for form in the league, losing in the Carabao Cup Final and exiting the FA Cup in the semis. However, he pulled it back at the end of the 23/24 campaign – winning all five remaining games and finishing 6th in the Premier League.
Despite this, just two days after the final game of the season, Chelsea announced that they had mutually agreed to part ways with Pochettino after as little as under a year in charge of the Blues.
