Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is the fifth most valuable young talent in Europe according to CIES Football Observatory.
The Swiss-based research group just released a list of the most expensive players born in or after the year 2000 in the top five European leagues.
According to CIES, their algorithm factors in variables such as players’ ages, contract duration, career progression, performances, etc to determine these values.
Hudson-Odoi, the only Chelsea player in the top 50, is valued at an estimated €72million (£66.3m) and ranked fifth in the list.
The 19-year-old is also ranked highest among other Premier League talents such as Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood (€50.6m – eighth), Everton’s Moise Kean (€46m – ninth) and Manchester City’s Phil Foden (€43.5m – 10th).
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s reported transfer target, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, is at the top of the list with a staggering value of €198.5m (£184m).
Sancho’s teammate Erling Haaland (€101m) occupies second place, while Real Madrid duo Rodrygo Goes (€88.9m) and Vinicius Junior (€73.9m) are third and fourth respectively.
Hudson-Odoi has struggled with injuries this season but managed to bag one goal and four assists from only seven starts in the Premier League.
According to recent reports, Chelsea are ready to meet Dortmund’s £120m asking price for Jadon Sancho but will face serious competition from other top clubs including Manchester United.
