Chelsea provide positive update on 21-year-old’s injury recovery

Chelsea have provided a positive update on Armando Broja’s rehabilitation following a serious knee ligament injury that has kept him out since November.

The 21-year-old sustained the injury in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United four months ago and is expected to be out for the rest of the season.

It was really unfortunate because it was his only second Premier League start for Chelsea this season.

Graham Potter mostly used the young striker as an impact substitute, which makes sense since Broja has the physicality and the pace to cause problems for opposition defenders.

Former Blue Jason Cundy recently argued that Broja could have made an impact for Chelsea in the second half of the season.

Following the injury, the Albania international has since undergone successful surgery and a rehabilitation period.

It is very unlikely that he would make a return before the end of the season, but at least his recovery process seems to be going really well.

Chelsea have recently posted a video showing Broja’s recovery session on Instagram

“Pushing to come back stronger, it’s in our DNA,” the caption says.
