Football analyst Youri Mulder believes Chelsea-linked Timo Werner would be “the perfect player” for Hakim Ziyech as the pair have complementary play styles.
Having announced Hakim Ziyech’s summer transfer in February, Chelsea have reportedly sealed another exciting attacker in RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.
The 24-year-old’s Chelsea move is yet to be official, but former Netherlands international Mulder already praised the Blues for the potential statement signing.

He told Ziggo Sport’s Paniekvoetbal (as quoted by Voetbalzone): “What a transfer that is. Chelsea is really taking a shot at the championship with such a vanguard.”
The former Schalke striker also believes that the Germany international would form an interesting partnership with Ziyech at Chelsea next season.

“He [Werner] is the perfect player for Ziyech. In that respect [the reported transfer], Chelsea has done well,” he said.
“Werner likes to come a bit from the left side, deep.
“If you imagine that; Ziyech on the right, turning inwards, he can really lose the balls with his left leg on Timo Werner.”
Having a combined total of 39 goals and 26 assists in all competitions between the two of them this season so far, Ziyech and Werner partnership surely looks frightening on paper.
