Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Chelsea are likely to announce Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager this week.
He told GiveMeSport that another string of meetings occurred over the weekend, with no negatives coming out of it from either party at this stage.
Pochettino has emerged as the clear favourite to become the next permanent boss at Stamford Bridge starting from this summer.

This is after a number of candidates have been previously considered during what has been a thorough process to secure the right man for the job.
Julian Nagelsmann was seen by many to be the favourite for the role due to the timing of the vacancy coinciding with the decision to sack him from Bayern Munich.
Pochettino to be announced this week
However, he was not a fan of only being a contender, and pulled out of the running when it emerged he was not the only potential manager being considered for the role.
This has left a clear path for Pochettino, and talks have reportedly been at an advanced stage for a number of days now as the deal gets closer to being made.

Jones has now claimed that supporters can expect an announcement to be made by the club this week, as they prepare for what lies ahead next season.
He said: “Yeah, it’s very possible that we have an announcement this week. There were more meetings over the weekend. I haven’t heard anything negative that’s come out of that.”
Getting an announcement sorted before the season comes to an end will allow the Argentine to get an official look at his players before the decisions are made over the summer as to whether they will remain at Stamford Bridge next year.
