Reports have claimed that Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos is set to be part of the first team next season.
According to the Evening Standard, the Brazilian is set to receive his work permit to allow him to feature for the English club.
There was plenty of optimism surrounding Chelsea’s January transfer window exploits, however seemingly no more than the acquisition of Santos.

The club smashed their transfer record in order to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, however for some the excitement was far more around the youngster.
Despite his vast inexperience at the top level, there is plenty of hype about his ability and what he can bring to the London club.
There were hopes for some that he would be able to feature in the second half of last season, with a lot of the games not having the importance many thought they would earlier in the campaign.
Pochettino will have Santos next season
However, he was unable to achieve a work permit in time to feature last season, therefore seeing him return to Brazil on loan.
It was seen as strange at the time that he wasn’t handed this, especially given his sensational displays at the youth South American championships.
However, reports today have stated that Mauricio Pochettino will be able to call upon the 19-year-old next season as part of his first team squad.

Midfield is certainly an area where the club will be looking to address this summer, with Mateo Kovacic and N’golo Kante both set to be on the move.
Transfer targets have not been easy to convince so far however. They have already missed out on the addition of Manuel Ugarte at the hands of PSG.
They are reportedly keen to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton, and Arsenal could be about to pull out of that race as a result of their interest in Declan Rice.
