Reports have claimed that Chelsea are hoping to announce their new manager later this week.
According to the Daily Mail, the club have been extremely impressed so far by Mauricio Pochettino.
The former Tottenham man has emerged as the favourite for the job as they have begun to narrow down their shortlist of candidates.

They have been helped out in making a decision by one of those on their shortlist deciding to pull out the race for the job.
Julian Nagelsmann was seen by many as the favourite for the role, having recently been sacked by Bayern Munich.
However, he recently withdrew his interest after reportedly becoming concerned with the recruitment process.
Pochettino could be hired this week
The German seemingly believed the job was his, and therefore got spooked when more candidates were reported to be on the shortlist.
Luis Enrique was also seen as one of those who were high on the list of potential next managers. However, this interest cooled following a series of face-to-face interviews.
Now, Pochettino is the reported favourite to take his first role back in management since being sacked by PSG.

The Blues won’t be too concerned by that however, following the success they saw with Thomas Tuchel after he was let go by the Ligue 1 side.
Now though, reports have even claimed that the club are looking to make the announcement as soon as this week to get everyone ready for the project that lies ahead.
While some may be put off slightly by the 51-year-old’s links to Tottenham, his experience at the top end of the club game over the last decade is far superior to the majority of names listed as potential next bosses.
