Reports have claimed that Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has told his staff that he will not be taking the Chelsea job if it is offered to him.
According to The Sun, the Belgian is looking to see the job through with his current side when they begin life back in the Premier League next season.
Kompany recently emerged as one of the top candidates for the currently vacant permanent managers job at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard is currently in charge on a temporary basis, however zero wins in his first four games have seen the hunt for a new figure step up.
Originally, Julian Nagelsmann was perceived as one of the favourites for the role, taking into account the timing of his sacking from Bayern Munich.
It also looked like the job was being tailored for the German, given that he wasn’t looking to start until the end of the season.
Kompany not joining Chelsea
However, the emergence of Kompany as one of the candidates for the role left Nagelsmann fearing that he may eventually not end up with the job.
The former Manchester City defender was certainly a left field shout for the position, given how he is yet to win a trophy in management.
However, that can be changed if he wins tonight, which will secure top in the Championship ahead of Sheffield United.

His impressive job has of course seen links to top Premier League roles, however it seems as if he is committed to Turf Moor.
Mauricio Pochettino is now the favourite for the role after recent talks with the club have been extremely positive.
There have already been claims that the Argentine has an idea in place on what he wants to do when he takes over, with there being a big eye towards integrating homegrown stars into his side.
