Chelsea are set to hold another round of conversations with Julian Nagelsmann, according to reports.

Julian Nagelsmann, who’s never worked in England before, is strongly linked in the media with the vacant managerial post at Chelsea.

The Blues are taking their time with appointing the next permanent manager, something they can do with Frank Lampard working as interim boss until the end of the season.

The latest update explains that the West London club are continuing with their detailed search.

According to The Telegraph, Nagelsmann is considered one of the frontrunners right now to become Chelsea’s next manager.

It is understood that he’s facing ‘increasing competition’ from Mauricio Pochettino, though.

The report says that Chelsea will now hold further talks with Nagelsmann, who was already interviewed by them last week.

Apparently, the young 35-year-old coach did impress the Blues board during initial conversations. However, Todd Boehly and the Blues hierarchy want further discussions

His lack of Premier League experience is highlighted as one possible risk of appointing him. On the flip side, he’s a title-winning manager after helping Bayern Munich lift the Bundesliga league crown last season.

His Bayern side were right in the mix for more success during this current campaign, but he was dismissed by the German club last month and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.

Journalist Graeme Bailey reported on the Talking Transfers podcast this week that Nagelsmann “really, really wants” to become the next Chelsea manager.

It’s going to be interesting to hear if the German coach can continuing shining during the interviews.

He’s got quite an eye-catching CV for someone so young, impressing at Bayern, RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim.

Will Chelsea now be willing to give him his first high-profile job in England?
