Reports have claimed that Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was most impressed by the performance of Joao Felix in the 1-1 draw against West Ham United.

According to The Athletic, the owner was left with a notable smile on his face due to the performance of the Portugal international.

Felix opened his Chelsea account with a fine finish in the first half, after being found by a glorious Enzo Fernandez pass.

Despite not coming away with all three points, there was certainly some impressive performances on display from an individual perspective.

For the second appearance in a row, the 23-year-old ran the show, although this time his outing did not come to an end early due to a red card.

Boehly impressed by Felix

While he is only currently on loan, performances as good as his one at the weekend will surely leave the Chelsea ownership with a serious decision to make at the end of the season.

The Athletic have claimed that Chelsea believe if they wish to make a permanent offer for the player, Atletico Madrid will be persuaded to accept a lower fee than what they were looking for in January.

At this stage, it looks like the club should do whatever they can to get that deal over the line.

His ability to find the net at the weekend was something which Chelsea fans had almost forgotten the sight of. It had been two games in a row before the London derby that they hadn’t found the net.

With Christopher Nkunku set to join the club at the end of the season, there will certainly be a selection headache for whoever is at the helm, however the Portuguese man has made it clear that he has the quality to feature for the Blues.
