Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has provided injury updates ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg match against Lille.
After the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Blues now must shift their attention to the cup competitions again.
They will first host Lille at Stamford Bridge in midweek before taking on Liverpool for the League Cup final at the weekend.
There were several absences among the Chelsea squad at Selhurst Park, including Cesar Azpilicueta and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Tuchel has confirmed that the pair missed out on the game due to last-minute injuries.
Fortunately, the manager has confirmed that the former may return on Tuesday.

“We will push for Azpi, of course, and we will push for Mason [Mount],” Tuchel told Chelsea TV when possible injury returns for Champions League tie.
“But [for] Mason, [it is] maybe a bit too early.
“I don’t think [he] will make it. But we will try, then let’s see.”

Mount picked up an ankle injury during the Club World Cup final, and, according to Tuchel, hurt his ligaments badly.
Given the circumstance, Tuchel may decide not to take risks and let the midfielder fully recover to face Liverpool at the weekend, instead.
