Thomas Tuchel explained that he has been enthralled by Trevoh Chalobah’s consistency in a Chelsea shirt this season.
Speaking to the club website, Tuchel highlighted how the defender plays virtually exactly the same in each match, no matter the opponent or competition.
Chalobah has rarely seemed phased by the propelled position he finds himself in.

After three successive loan spells away from Stamford Bridge, the 22-year-old was finally reintroduced into Chelsea’s first team over the summer.
Initially, it appeared the England youth international had been included as an understudy to the regulars or, more brutally, as a last resort.
But as the games ticked by, it became clear this was not the case.
He started in the Super Cup final victory over Villarreal, then three days later played the full 90 minutes on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace
Chalobah also scored his first goal for Chelsea that day in front of a rapturous and roaring home crowd.

The versatile centre-back has since made another eight appearances and is an established member of the group.
Tuchel is a Trevoh fan
When asked which of the player’s traits pleased him best, Tuchel said: “Consistency that he can produce the same performance in different games at this young age.
“It’s a new challenge for him to be a regular player for Chelsea.
“But he was actually very strong in pre-season. Showed no nerves in the pre-season games.
“He played in the Super Cup. That was very impressive because he did what he did in the friendlies.
“This is what I like a lot about him. He’s doing his thing and he’s not affected by too much praise or by the pressure that can arise with spectators.

“He’s not affected. He can still and needs to improve.
“But the level he can provide is very, very high. I’m super happy. He’s a calm guy, he knows what he wants.”
Blue horizons
Remaining at Chelsea for the foreseeable future is what Chalobah surely desires beyond anything else.
A boyhood Blue, who has been repeatedly knocked away by his employers, now living the dream of so many Cobham pupils.
It looks like the chain of command are also after the same thing.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea have offered Chalobah a new four or five-year contract that has been agreed on principle.
