Enzo Maresca will probably find his job under review if Chelsea fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.
However, the Chelsea manager should not be the only man who finds his position in danger should the Blues miss out on the top four.
Sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart have assembled this Chelsea squad and need to take responsibility if it fails again.
As a matter of fact, it may be worth replacing them regardless, given that one hugely successful sporting director could be about to become available.

Chelsea should replace Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart with Luis Campos
Luis Campos is currently working for Paris Saint-Germain, but that could be about to change.
According to Le Parisien, Campos is currently attracting interest from Premier League clubs with his contract at PSG set to expire in the summer.
The 60-year-old has not had huge success at the Parc des Princes and has not been able to help Luis Enrique’s side win the Champions League.
Nevertheless, Chelsea would be silly to allow him to join one of their rivals, especially when Winstanley and Stewart are not cutting it. He knows how to find a real talent.

Luis Campos’ phenomenal track record
At AS Monaco, Campos was credited for the signings of Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Tiemoue Bakayoko, three players who were instrumental in the Ligue 1 outfit’s 2017 title success.
He was also the man responsible for unearthing Kylian Mbappe’s talent after spotting him in Monaco’s youth team.
Campos has also worked at Lille, overseeing the arrivals of Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes and Victor Osimhen during his time there.
For whatever reason, Chelsea’s owners have a lot of faith in Winstanley and Stewart. It is difficult to see them sacking the duo, while it is not certain yet that Campos will leave PSG.
But if he does, then Chelsea really should be looking to get him on board if they want to become a serious club again.
