Chelsea are back for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign. Here we have all the confirmed fixtures, key dates, international breaks and more.
The Enzo Maresca era at Stamford Bridge will soon get underway, and he will be looking to better last season’s Premier League finish under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues ended up sixth in the table, thanks to a resurgence in the final games, resulting in an underwhelming qualification for the UEFA Conference League.

When does the 2024/25 Premier League season start?
The 2024/25 Premier League season will get underway on Friday the 16th of August as Manchester United host Fulham.
Chelsea’s opening game is on Sunday the 18th of August against reigning champions Manchester City, where Maresca previously worked under Pep Guardiola.
In the 2023/24 campaign, a 1-1 draw with Liverpool played out at Stamford Bridge, with the unlikely source of Axel Disasi netting the first goal of the short-lived Pochettino era.
When does the 2024/25 Premier League season end?
The final round of Premier League fixtures will be held on Sunday the 25th of May, 2025.
In the 2023/24 campaign, Chelsea finished in style with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, with the goals coming from Moises Caicedo and Raheem Sterling.

When are the international breaks?
There will be four international breaks during the 2024/25 season. They will be:
- September 2nd – September 10th 2024
- October 7th – October 15th 2024
- November 11th – November 19th 2024
- March 17th – March 25th 2025
Is there a winter break this season?
The winter break has also been removed from the Premier League calendar to permit a mid-August start date.
Who are the new teams in the Premier League?
Chelsea will face three new sides in the Premier League this season – Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton.
The Blues will play against former managerial candidate Kieran McKenna with Ipswich, while the games against Leicester will see Maresca visit his old side.
Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town were the three teams who couldn’t beat the drop last season. Chelsea won’t be facing them in the 2024/25 campaign.
