Nicolas Jackson is set to return to Chelsea next summer but is unlikely to have a future at Stamford Bridge.
The striker joined Bayern Munich on loan in the last transfer window after the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap at Chelsea.
However, Bayern are not expected to sign Jackson permanently at the end of his loan spell, meaning that his parent club will have to try to offload him again in 2026.

It was recently claimed that Chelsea tried to swap Romeo Lavia for Alejandro Garnacho when the transfer market was still open. In their bid to move on Jackson, perhaps they could attempt to do something similar.

In July, it was reported that Atletico Madrid were interested in signing Jackson. With Chelsea currently looking at Julian Alvarez, there is no harm in the Blues making a cash-plus-player offer for the Argentine involving Jackson.
The Chelsea Chronicle has been told that Chelsea are monitoring Alvarez as he weighs up his options.
In the striker department, Enzo Maresca already has Delap, Pedro and Marc Guiu, while Emanuel Emegha is set to join the trio at Stamford Bridge next season.
The quartet should be given time before Chelsea decide to dip into the market for a new centre-forward.
However, if they become set on doing that, Alvarez should be at the top of their list, with Jackson potentially being used as a makeweight to land him.

Jackson has been in and out of Bayern’s team this season, so it is tricky to compare his stats to Alvarez’s.
The 2024/25 campaign provides a much better sample, with Jackson and Alvarez playing around the same number of minutes. The latter scored more goals, though, despite averaging fewer shots per game than the former.

Atletico paid £82m to sign Alvarez from Manchester City last year. The Spanish club are going to want huge money if they decide to sell him next summer.
