Chelsea’s first-team star at the Club World Cup is now being strongly linked with a potential transfer exit this summer.

A lot of the attention with Chelsea right now is centred around the incomings at Stamford Bridge, but we’re keen to see how many individuals end up leaving the club across the next couple of months.

It’s been claimed that Enzo Maresca wants a first-team squad of 22 or 23 players to work with next season. If you look at the amount of players currently on the club’s books, the club’s sporting directors may need to be busy sorting a lot of exits.

Atletico Madrid looking at Chelsea duo, including Noni Madueke

Chelsea attackers Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke are two profiles whose futures are under the spotlight right now.

Journalist Eduardo Burgos has reported via X that Jackson and Madueke will “almost certainly” leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

It is explained that Atletico have already enquired about Blues striker Jackson. On top of that, the La Liga and Champions League club sense a market to sign Chelsea winger Madueke as well, but they face competition from Arsenal for his signature.

The Chelsea Chronicle recently claimed that Chelsea could be prepared to sell Madueke during the summer window. Even though the 23-year-old attacker is featuring with the Blues at the Club World Cup tournament, the speculation around his future is intensifying.

It’s slightly surprising that Arsenal supporters aren’t keen on links to Madueke. Now that Atletico are looking at the England international, it will be intriguing to see where he ends up playing his football next season.

Noni Madueke should cost more than Conor Gallagher

Chelsea paid £29m (Sky Sports) to sign Madueke from PSV Eindhoven two-and-a-half years ago. We would definitely argue that his valuation has gone up in that time, too.

In August 2024, Chelsea sold central midfielder Conor Gallagher to Atletico for £33m (BBC Sport), which has turned out to be a decent deal for all parties involved.

If Spanish giants Atletico ramp up interest in Madueke, we would urge Chelsea to ask for more than they did with Gallagher. On his day, the Blues wide man is capable of winning a match and his potential is still huge.
