All eyes will be on the Chelsea side Enzo Maresca names to take on Legia Warsaw in the first leg of the Conference League quarter-final.

The boss is having to balance their quest to complete their European trophy haul with the crucial final few Premier League fixtures of the season.

Five English teams will qualify for the Champions League, this season, with the Blues currently placed amongst those sides with seven games to go.

However, with games coming thick and fast, the boss has made changes to his line-up that have included leaving some of his best players on the bench.

Maresca defended benching Cole Palmer as well as a host of top players for the 0-0 draw with Brentford, with there perhaps being a stronger eye on the European competition than there has been so far this season.

Despite the wholesale changes, particularly in attack, there were still no minutes for exciting young prospect Tyrique George as the poor treatment of him continues.

George has been holding his own in first team training sessions this season, however this has yet to result in a start in the Premier League since his promotion from the academy.

When given the chance on the pitch, George has impressed Blues fans, espeically in a period of time where they were missing a number of their top options due to injury.

The winger did complete 90 minutes in both legs of the Round of 16 tie against Copenhagen, however this should be the minimum expectation for a player whose talent is going to see him sought after by other clubs very soon.

Premier League interest in Tyrique George

It has been reported recently that a Premier League side have registered interest in signing George if the opportunity arises for them.

Everton are big fans of George, and with their status as a Premier League side next season now certain, could make him their first big addition as they look to climb up the table.

The Blues are going to be transforming their attack this summer, with highly-touted youngsters Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez joining the club after their deals were completed months in advance.

It remains to be seen if space in the first team will still exist for George, who will no doubt be keeping a close eye on Chelsea’s transfer activity this summer.
