Enzo Maresca now has a number of games under his belt as Chelsea manager where he has been able to get to grips with the large squad he has to deal with.
In the Premier League though, there have been very few changes to his side, with them going through all three possible results in the first three games.
One of those who has come in since the season opener against Manchester City has proven themselves, with Noni Madueke being named in the Team of the Week already.

The midfield positions have been under much discussion this season. Their most impressive player against City was Romeo Lavia, however he has not featured in the league since after suffering a minor injury.
Enzo Fernandez is one of the core of players who have started every game this season, despite criticism coming his way for some of his displays.

Enzo Fernandez proving crucial to Enzo Maresca at Chelsea
However, donning the armband in every game he has played, the World Cup winner is proving to be pretty crucial for what Maresca is looking to do.
The Italian would likely admit that he got his position completely wrong for the first game of the season, with Gary Neville stating Fernandez would be better off deeper.
This change was made before the win over Wolves, with him having a far better performance as they picked up their first points of the season.
In the first half in particular against Crystal Palace, it was more of the same in the middle of the park, before the whole team somewhat lost their heads to the frustration of conceding an equaliser out of nothing.
Chelsea hoping Fernandez and Moises Caicedo can work
Fernandez’s quality when at his best is matched by few in the Premier League. He has previously been described as ‘gifted’ by Andy Townsend.
There is no doubt desperation that Chelsea can get the best out of him and Moises Caicedo together in the middle of the park, with them both costing record fees for the club when they were signed.
Based on the evidence of this season, it does look as if Fernandez is getting to grips with what his manager is asking of him.
