Chelsea have already done their former manager Jose Mourinho a favour, and now it looks like he could do one for them.
Earlier this week, Chelsea sold Marc Cucurella to Mourinho’s Real Madrid, which ended the defender’s four-year spell in west London.
Since then, Chelsea have been linked with Alvaro Carreras, who could replace Cucurella in the left-back position at Stamford Bridge. However, there is another Real Madrid star the Blues should be looking at.
Why shouldn’t Alvaro Carreras replace Marc Cucurella? He looks ideal!
The Real Madrid star is one left-back Chelsea are thought to be considering after Cucurella's exit 💭
Jose Mourinho does not consider Aurelien Tchouameni
Chelsea are thought to be in the market for a new midfielder, and Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni would be the perfect addition to their squad.
Many will view the 26-year-old as an unrealistic transfer target for the Club World Cup holders, but he could be available this summer. With that in mind, there is no harm in Chelsea trying to sign him.
Journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon has claimed on his YouTube channel that Mourinho does not consider Tchouameni untouchable.

That is excellent news for Chelsea if they do want to sign him this summer. Amid Real Madrid’s interest in Enzo Fernandez, it has been reported that Chelsea would be keen on signing Tchouameni in return but in a separate deal.
Their lack of Champions League football could be an issue, but Tchouameni is the calibre of player Chelsea should be targeting to get back to the top.
Aurelien Tchouameni and Moises Caicedo could form world-class partnership
Chelsea have not quite found the right partner for Moises Caicedo in midfield. Fernandez has been pushed further forward to play as a No.10, Romeo Lavia is always injured and Andrey Santos is still developing.

Even if Fernandez could bring the best out of Caicedo in the middle, he could leave Chelsea in the transfer window.
Tchouameni would not be a like-for-like replacement, especially with Fernandez playing a bit higher up these days, but the Frenchman and Caicedo would be such a powerful midfield duo.
Tchouameni is pretty good on the ball as well, but ultimately he is a midfielder who would thwart opposition attacks alongside Caicedo. Bring him in!
