With Chelsea unable to beat Aston Villa at home in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday, you would expect Mauricio Pochettino to make a couple of changes for their next game.
Chelsea return to Premier League duty on Wednesday and take on Liverpool, which will not be an easy match.
If Mauricio Pochettino is planning to do the above, then one player he has to drop is Noni Madueke.
Noni Madueke disappointed in Aston Villa draw
Honestly, there was a lot to like about Madueke’s all-round wing play in Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Villa.
For example, on the night, he completed two dribbles, the third most in the game, according to WhoScored.
However, the 21-year-old had a couple of really good chances that he could not make the most of and that was really disappointing.
That kind of finishing is why the Blues have dropped so many points in the Premier League this season.

Cole Palmer can go back to the right wing against Liverpool
Madueke started on the right in Chelsea’s FA Cup clash versus Villa, which has been Palmer’s main position, where he has absolutely thrived this season.
Pochettino opted to use him as a false 9 on Friday instead and it did not really work out. It was not the England international’s best performance, as he went on to waste a couple of good opportunities as well.
If Chelsea are to have any chance of beating Liverpool, then they need Palmer at the top of his game, and that is probably not going to happen if he is playing up front again.
In total, the former Manchester City man has come up with 18 goal contributions in 24 Premier League appearances.
The above obviously does not mean Madueke, who cost Chelsea £30m (BBC Sport), is a bad player. But the Blues need to be clinical and at their best against Liverpool, and that is not going to happen if Madueke does not have his shooting boots on again and Palmer is out of position — do not take the risk.
