Noni Madueke’s personal coach used two words to describe him, Chelsea fans will absolutely disagree

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke clearly has a lot of admirers in the game, and it is not hard to understand why.

Madueke can be a very skilful wide man at times, and last season the 23-year-old showed signs that he could develop into a goalscorer one day.

Madueke bagged an impressive hat-trick at Molineux as Chelsea went on to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 6-2. His finishes were excellent.

Chelsea bought him from PSV Eindhoven in 2023 and now Arsenal want to sign Madueke. Yes, evidently, people in football rate the wide attacker.

Saul Isaksson-Hurst describes Noni Madueke as ‘mentality monster’

Saul Isaksson-Hurst is a personal skills coach and has worked with Madueke, who has made quite an impression on him.

Isaksson-Hurst spoke very highly of Madueke following his move to Chelsea, describing the Englishman as a “mentality monster”.

“Noni is one of the best young forwards in Europe,” he told The Sun in 2023. “I’ve worked with a lot of top players but his intensity, mentality and desire to be the best is second to none.

“I call him a mentality monster — he’s really driven and has very clear goals and ambitions.”

Enzo Maresca may not have his “mentality monster” for much longer amid interest from Arsenal.

It is thought that Chelsea are happy for Madueke to leave the club this summer, despite the England international featuring so heavily under Maresca last term.

He missed just six games in the Premier League and was frequently used in the cup competitions. Even so, there is no guarantee that Madueke has a future at Stamford Bridge.

When Noni Madueke absolutely infuriated Chelsea supporters

Isaksson-Hurst’s comments are interesting, as Chelsea fans have questioned Madueke’s mentality in the past.

For example, after Chelsea lost to Manchester City in their 2024 FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley, Madueke was seen laughing and sharing a joke with Jack Grealish.

Harmless to most, but loads of Chelsea supporters were furious to see Madueke so joyous after losing such an important game.

What did not help Madueke that day was the fact that Thiago Silva was virtually in tears just in front of him.

Madueke’s failure to convert some of his one-on-ones or square the ball in those situations is another reason why Chelsea fans will not be calling him a mentality monster for the time being.
