Chelsea are likely going to have to part ways with a number of their first team stars to allow them to bring in the players they would still like to sign this summer.

The Blues are keen to add to the £30m signing of Liam Delap early in the transfer window, with any new signings likely to take place after the Club World Cup.

Chelsea are closing in on Jamie Gittens after not wanting to pay extra money to bring him in before the tournament got underway in the United States.

They have been tipped to make three more major signings, with one of those being a versatile attacker, potentially leaving a number of the current crop at Stamford Bridge concerned about their place.

Chelsea ‘willing to move on’ from Noni Madueke

One player who reports have begun to link with a move away is Noni Madueke. This is despite Enzo Maresca being a big fan of Madueke.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey has told The Chelsea Chronicle that Chelsea are now prepared to move on from the England winger, and are instead targeting a new option to come in and strengthen the attack.

He said: “I do think they want another player on the right-hand-side. Kudus and Pedro, I think they both offer that option, playing centrally and on the right, not dissimilar to Nkunku in some ways. But it does seem like they do want someone to play on the right. What does that mean for Madueke? I think it might impact on him possibly.

“There’s no situation with Neto at all. Madueke, we know he’s been linked and was dropped midway through last season, so I think they are willing to move on from what we know.”

Maresca has turned away talk of a Madueke exit at the moment, with his focus completely on succeeding at the ongoing Club World Cup.

Top clubs sensing opportunity to sign Madueke

With no clarity to suggest the winger is seen as untouchable at Stamford Bridge, some top sides are sniffing an opportunity in the transfer market.

Arsenal have been credited with interest in Madueke, with them not shy to take a chance on a player from Chelsea. They did the exact same thing with Kai Havertz.

Newcastle are also big fans of Madueke, however it remains to be seen whether any clubs are interested in the £50m price tag Chelsea have reportedly set on him (The Independent).

With Estevao Willian also joining up with the first team squad this summer, the pressure is going to be on the Englishman to show that he deserves his place in the starting side going forwards.
