N’Golo Kante finally returned to full training on Friday at Chelsea.

Graham Potter, who’s been speaking ahead of Chelsea’s game tomorrow against Leeds United, has delivered a piece of positive news.

The Blues head coach has shared that Kante was back in full training today.

He did admit that the 31-year-old midfielder will still need some time before he’s completely back, though.

“N’Golo had his first full training session today, but obviously he still needs time,” Potter said in Friday’s press conference.

Described as “fantastic” by Potter, Kante is someone that can give everyone around Stamford Bridge a much-needed lift.

It’s been quite telling on the pitch that the Frenchman has played just two games all season due to injury he sustained back in August.

The all-action central midfielder has had injury issues crop up in the last few years, but he continues to be such a key figure whenever he’s fit and available.

It does sound like he’s now closing in on making his return from his serious hamstring problem.

Foot Mercato claimed earlier this week that Kante has agreed to sign a new Chelsea deal and extend his stay in west London.

A lot of Blues supporters can’t wait to see him partner January recruit Enzo Fernandez in the centre of the park, something that may not be far off now.

We hope Kante is still the player he was after his latest long-term injury.
