Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has claimed the response the Argentina team got when representing their country in the international break absolutely stunned him.
He took to Twitter to thank supporters for the welcome they got as they returned home for the first time after winning the World Cup.
Fernandez played a key role in victory in Qatar. He was named the young player of the tournament after not starting the opening match defeat to Saudi Arabia.

Now, he seems irreplaceable in the Argentina midfield, as he played in both international fixtures, impressing on both outings.
The 22-year-old took to Twitter to send his thank you’s to Argentina fans, who witnessed two big wins this week.
Fernandez stunned at Argentine response
He said: “May this story never end!!! I need to do a little review of these last days because I can’t stop being surprised, every second is recorded forever, thank CONMEBOL not only for the recognition yesterday but also for bringing José, who was like seeing me standing there.

“I know Everything came over me, a mixture of sensations that were stronger than me, but everything continued, videos, applause, awards, and yesterday the game, where people once again make us feel all their love and care. My chest is exploding with happiness!! A Thank you is not enough, and there are plenty of words!! LET’S GO ARGENTINA! ALWAYS TOGETHER!”
It has not taken Fernandez long to settle into life at Stamford Bridge, with him looking worth the money despite the club-record fee played.
In a midfield duo with temporary captain Mateo Kovacic, the Blues have rediscovered some of their form in recent weeks, which has at least eased some of the pressure on manager Graham Potter for now.
