National media were again left impressed by the performance of Christian Pulisic for USA last night.
MLSsoccer gave the Chelsea winger one of the highest ratings of any starter as his country defeated El Salvador 1-0.
The result completes a near-perfect international break for the 24-year-old, who went crazy with goals and assists in their last game at the weekend.

The international break always gives the winger plenty of game time, often which he has not seen for his club in recent months.
He is afforded the ability to lead attacks, something MLSsoccer claim he did well again last night.
They said: “Pulisic was unfortunate not to get an assist with a perfectly hit set piece to McKennie that gave the Leeds’ midfielder a free header at the back post.
Pulisic impresses for USA
“Besides that, the Chelsea winger provided his usual bright play driving the team forward on the dribble in transition moments and staying involved in scoring chances throughout the match.”
While he started the last match against Everton, injuries and form have limited him to a bench player at best for the majority of the campaign.
His case for a start certainly won’t have been helped by the January transfer window. Chelsea added Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke to their ranks as recognised wingers.

While both are still finding their feet, the length of their contracts suggest they’re going to be long-term projects for the club.
This could see Pulisic make his exit from the club at the end of the season, although it can’t be said that it hasn’t been coming.
The American would have surely been on the move back in January had injury not ruled him out for most of the month. It will be interesting to see which side decide to take a chance on the Champions League winner.
