Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic starred in an emphatic win for the United States this weekend.

The U.S thrashed Grenada 7-1 in their Concacaf Nations League meeting.

Christian Pulisic, who wore the captain’s armband for his country, scored one and made two assists in his eye-catching performance.

The 24-year-old has endured a difficult season so far at club level with Chelsea, but he does seem to really enjoying playing for the United States.

Pulisic caused havoc on the left wing against Grenada, playing just over an hour before being substituted off.

His individual display has received rave reviews in the U.S media:

MLS Soccer wrote: “Best player on the field, Pulisic was on fire from the outset, creating danger from the left side and getting rewarded with one goal and three assists. It was simply a sizzling performance from the Chelsea man, who sported the captain’s armband in Tyler Adams’ injury-related absence.”

NBC Sports added: “Ho hum. Just a one-goal, two-assist performance from Pulisic. As previously discussed, the USMNT found infinite joy down the left side of attack and Pulisic was at the center of most of it (for 64 minutes, at least).”

Chelsea fans would love to see this version of Pulisic rock up at Stamford Bridge every week.

There is signs he can make an impact in Graham Potter’s side with his movement and threat in the final third, but he’s had almost no end product so far this season.

His recent knee injury hasn’t helped his cause, too.

Frank Lebouef recently suggested Chelsea should sell Pulisic this summer.

Journalist Simon Phillips recently shared on his Substack that Manchester United are considering a move to sign Pulisic for next season.

In our view, a transfer away from West London could be best for all parties.

Pulisic could definitely rediscover his best form and start to fulfil more of his potential elsewhere.
