All eyes will be on the 11 players Enzo Maresca selects to take on PSG in the Club World Cup final at the MetLife stadium on Sunday night.

Many are seeing Chelsea as the underdogs for the big-money game, however Alan Shearer believes Chelsea have a chance if they play on the counter attack.

It can be expected that there will be some changes from the side who won 2-0 in the semi-final against Fluminense, a game marked by Joao Pedro’s brace in his first start for the club.

The Brazilian started that game up front, with Nicolas Jackson still not returning to the starting side since his red card against Flamengo in the group stages.

Liam Delap predicted to start for Chelsea in Club World Cup final

Liam Delap was unavailable for selection for the semi-final after already picking up two yellow cards in the competition so far.

This halted his start to life as a Chelsea player following the £30m move from Ipswich Town. He is already off the mark for his new club in the group stages.

The Evening Standard have predicted that Delap will return to the starting side for the final, featuring in an attacking line with Pedro, Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto.

Chelsea fans want Delap to start the game, while Maresca will be looking to get the best idea of who he backs to start the first Premier League game of the season against Crystal Palace.

Delap start could mean game over for Jackson

If fellow striker Jackson is not selected for the game, questions will continue to be asked over whether he has a long-term future at the club.

The Senegal striker is being linked with a move away from the club as a result of the business already completed this summer, as well as potential deals before the deadline.

The door is open for Jackson to leave this summer, and a number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the striker as they circle in on a developing situation.

Newcastle have been linked with Jackson, whilst enquiries have also been made by Manchester United and Aston Villa.
