Peter Crouch couldn’t get enough of Chelsea’s Cole Palmer after watching his performance this weekend.
Chelsea secured a fourth win in their last five Premier League matches by beating rivals Fulham 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Cole Palmer, who had a tough midweek game in the Carabao Cup defeat to Middlesbrough, bounced back with an impactful display at home to Fulham.
The 21-year-old’s converted penalty turned out to be the only goal of the game. He actually played a key role in the awarding of the spot-kick, threading a superb pass through to Raheem Sterling before he was fouled.
Also, the left-footed playmaker looked in the mood throughout with some silky touches and threatening moments going forward.
Palmer’s now up to nine goals and seven assists from his opening 22 Blues appearances.

Peter Crouch absolutely loved the performance from Chelsea’s £40m star (Sky Sports) in the West London derby.
When discussing Palmer’s display against Fulham, Crouch told TNT Sports:“He got Joe [Cole] and I off our chairs today, he was exciting and great to watch.
“I love the way he brings the ball forward; he’s always scanning the pitch and is a player that looks beyond his years.
“He’s got that swagger about him with his freedom and confidence; you know he’s going to put the penalty away. He’s a joy to watch.”
Cole Palmer shines against Fulham
Chelsea’s performances haven’t been the most exciting to watch lately, albeit the upturn in league results means they’re currently eighth in the table.
Thankfully, Palmer is still impressing and the shining light in Mauricio Pochettino’s team.
Speaking via talkSPORT on Saturday, Martin Keown made the generous comparison between Palmer and Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne.
Our one big concern is that you feel like Chelsea really struggle going forward on the rare times Palmer has an off-night. It’s certainly not right to pin so much importance on a 21-year-old attacker, especially one that only joined in the summer.
