Chelsea’s final result before the international break was Sunday’s 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal.
Chelsea earned a point in the Premier League after coming from behind in the weekend’s London derby at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli put the visitors in front on the hour mark with a close-range finish. However, Pedro Neto equalised in the 70th minute with his low powerful effort from outside the penalty box.
Carlton Cole claimed this week Chelsea winger Neto hasn’t got going yet this season. He’s just responded with an eye-catching performance in a big fixture, though.

Andy Townsend amazed by Pedro Neto’s Chelsea goal
Andy Townsend waxed lyrical about Chelsea star Neto immediately after his stylish goal versus Arsenal.
The 24-year-old played the first two-thirds of the game from the left wing, but his shift across to the opposite flank was a masterstroke. His first league goal of the season came after drifting infield on to his stronger left foot and unleashing a rocket into the bottom corner.
Townsend said via the Premier League’s official website (6:02pm, 10 November): “Stunning strike from Pedro Neto. He just drifted in field. Because they’re behind, all of a sudden players know they’ve got to start taking the chance, they’ve got to start operating in better areas. That’s what you get there. Brilliant, brilliant strike. David Raya’s been in top form lately, but he’s not getting that one.”
Chelsea winger Neto admitted recently he’s starting to feel much better after a slow start to his debut season in west London. Now, it feels like he’s properly arrived and is beginning to recapture what he showed at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
