Chelsea returned to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend with an important away victory at Leicester City.

Chelsea had drawn their previous two league matches before the international break, but they secured a 2-1 win at Leicester on Saturday afternoon.

Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez were both on the scoresheet to put the Blues in front at the King Power Stadium. Thankfully, Jordan Ayew’s penalty kick in stoppage time only turned out to be a late consolation.

Emmanuel Petit loved Jackson’s goal against Leicester as the Chelsea striker reminded everyone of his quality. He netted the opener with a very intelligent finish with the outside of his boot.

Chelsea fans agree on Joao Felix display vs Leicester

Enzo Maresca made some interesting decisions with his team selection versus Leicester, including giving Joao Felix his first league start of the season. Maresca praised Felix’s performances during the international break, so it was great to see him rewarded on the weekend.

Many Chelsea supporters on social media agree that Felix seized his opportunity on Saturday and he deserves more starts in the games ahead.

The 25-year-old attacker, who’s been in fine form during various cup competitions, came into the league XI on the left wing.

Here are Blues fans on X reacting to Felix’s contribution against Leicester:

@D4nchls wrote: “Top, top game from Felix, he has to start from now on.”

@CFCRobL posted: “I’ll say it very quietly… quite a promising performance from Felix there, reigned in the self indulgence (not completely), largely made good decisions and put in a solid shift off the ball. Far from his biggest fan but credit where it’s due, liked his performance today.”

@PulisicEra said: “Honestly loved this setup today, should’ve won by four goals. Also praying this means Felix will be starting going forward.”

@landopulisic claimed: “Joao looked sharp today. I’m really glad he got the start. Shame he didn’t get a goal from it but I hope we see some more starts from him.”

@disassyy added: “We all agree that Joao Felix and Pedro Neto should start next week right…”

Maresca recently hinted at starting Felix and Cole Palmer together. It’s now been shown in Chelsea’s weekend victory that the pair can operate well in the same XI.
