Chelsea turned up when it mattered most on Tuesday night to qualify for the Carabao Cup final in style.
Despite losing the first leg 1-0 against Middlesbrough, the Blues responded in emphatic fashion by thrashing the Championship side 6-1 at Stamford Bridge this evening.
There were so many positives for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in their semi-final success, including Levi Colwill in defence. In fact, the fanbase were all talking about the 20-year-old’s individual performance.

For Chelsea, they now know they’ll face either Fulham or Liverpool in next month’s Carabao Cup final.
There was certainly huge pressure on Pochettino’s side going into tonight’s cup tie, trailing by a one-goal deficit. However, their Premier League quality shone through in West London to end up 6-2 victors on aggregate.
Jonny Howson’s own goal in the 15th minute levelled the tie up. Afterwards, the hosts took control with goals from Enzo Fernandez, Axel Disasi and Cole Palmer in a dominant first-half.
The second-half scoring continued via Palmer, Noni Madueke and Morgan Rogers.
Levi Colwill against Middlesbrough
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media were all saying Colwill showed the best version of himself in the cup semi-final.
It’s agreed on X by the fanbase that the decision to play the defender at centre-back rather than left-back massively helped.
It’s certainly no secret that the youngster is much better in his natural centre-half role.
One fan said: “Chelsea are railroading Middlesbrough at the Bridge and I tell you it has a lot to do with playing a proper fullback and Colwill finally playing centre-back.”
Another posted: “Levi Colwill at CB is everything I dreamed of. NEVER at left-back again please.
A third wrote: “Colwill at CB finally and we look so solid.”
Another claimed: “Colwill has been excellent man. This is what happens when you play him CB.”
A fifth said: “Who would’ve thought playing Colwill in his actual position and finally using a left back at left back would’ve worked.”
Another posted: “This Colwill CB clinic. This is my general.”
