Chelsea’s Cole Palmer delivered a wonderful performance yesterday for England’s Under-21s side.
Cole Palmer, who joined Chelsea for £42.5million (Sky Sports) in the summer, caught the eye yesterday for the Young Lions.
Lee Carsley’s England side kicked off their qualifiers for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with a 3-0 away victory against Luxembourg on Tuesday evening.
Palmer scored a goal and made an assist for the dominant visitors. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder was a constant threat on the ball, too.

Palmer’s goal this week for England’s Under-21s team was a thing of beauty, powering a left-footed strike that flew in off the underside of the crossbar.
He started this season with two goals in three appearances before leaving Manchester City, so he’s certainly the type of play that knows where the back of the net is.
There’s not too many you look at in the current Chelsea squad as a natural or confident finisher. However, we’re seeing plenty from Palmer to suggest he can really help out with the lack of goals.
TEAMtalk recently claimed that Man City boss Pep Guardiola was actually quit disappointed about selling Palmer. That’s quite the compliment in itself!

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media loved what they saw from Palmer this week with England’s youth team.
Hopefully, he can take some confidence and form for when the Blues return to action this Sunday away to Bournemouth.
