Chelsea finally returned to winning ways at Stamford Bridge as they regained their place in the top four of the Premier League.

The Blues beat Wolves 3-1 at home, as a few unfamiliar goalscorers stepped up to score some big goals in both halves.

Tosin Adarabioyo found the net for the first time in the Premier League for Chelsea, while Marc Cucurella doubled his domestic tally for the campaign to put them back in front.

Chelsea fans fuming at Robert Sanchez despite 3-1 win over Wolves

Noni Madueke poked home on the line to double their advantage, with Trevoh Chalobah coming inches away from finding the net in his homecoming game.

The end of the first half will still have concerned Enzo Maresca, with the away side looking the better side and eventually levelling proceedings following an error from Robert Sanchez.

The Spaniard tried to catch a dangerous corner, ending up dropping it straight to Matt Doherty to convert from close range.

Errors directly leading to goals has unfortunately become a theme for the Spaniard this season. He has now made four of those in the Premier League this season.

Chelsea fans have not been afraid to show their discontent towards the goalkeeper this season, and the same occurred on social media following his error in today’s game.

One user said: “There’s no defending this. even if Sanchez managed to catch it, he’s headed into the net. if you come to claim, YOU MUST CLAIM. period. and it’s not like this is an outlier. man does this every other match. simply not good enough for this level.”

Another added: “Just bring Petrovic back and ship Sanchez to Strasbourg for the rest of the season. Just like Chalobah, the Petrovic-Sanchez decision was not left to Maresca and it has cost Chelsea once again.”

A third stated: “Nah man Sanchez is actually an embarrassment I’m sorry. Had nothing to do all half and fluffs his lines at the first opportunity. Wolves gifted a goal from nowhere. Ridiculous.”

Another claimed: “ROBERT SANCHEZ. I’M SO SO TIRED. HOW MANY TIMES DO WE NEED TO SEE IT???”

Finally, one user added: “Robert Sanchez is not good enough. No ifs, no buts, no maybes.”

Enzo Maresca must go against his word and start Filip Jorgensen

Maresca has been insistent that Sanchez is his designated Premier League goalkeeper, and has stuck by that decision for the majority of the campaign.

Filip Jorgensen has just two Premier League starts under his belt this season, instrad seeing the majority of his appearances come in the Conference League.

The Stamford Bridge crowd was already becoming toxic towards Sanchez tonight, with there no confidence in him even when he had the ball at his feet in plenty of space.

While many would prefer the club to sign a new goalkeeper in January, starting Jorgensen would be the more realistic effective option.
