Chelsea came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 against West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
It was far from the Blues’ finest performance of the season but nobody associated with the club will be bothered at all by that.
If anything, it makes a nice change for the West London club to secure all three points without fully deserving it.
Here are The Chelsea Chonicle’s player ratings from the all-London clash, with very different scores for Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill.

Chelsea player ratings vs Wolves
Filip Jorgensen – 6/10
Chelsea fans had been calling for Robert Sanchez to be dropped for quite some time and they were finally granted their wish on Monday night when Enzo Maresca picked Filip Jorgensen instead. The Denmark under-21 international was not totally convincing but made no big mistakes and couldn’t save Jarrod Bowen’s goal.
Reece James – 6/10
Reece James came off after 61 minutes as Maresca made his second double change of the evening. Injury prevention is almost always at the top of the agenda with the Chelsea captain but he also had an underwhelming game by his standards.
Tosin Adarabioyo – 7/10
Tosin Adarabioyo was by far the better of the two central defenders in blue shirts, albeit that’s not saying much. The former Fulham man was steady in limiting the visitors to one goal – which he had nothing to do with.

Levi Colwill – 3/10
Levi Colwill had one of his worst performances since making his Chelsea debut in 2023. The 21-year-old’s biggest strength is his ball-playing but it was a misplaced pass that allowed Bowen to give West Ham the lead after 42 minutes.
Marc Cucurella – 7/10
Marc Cucurella has transformed from one of Chelsea’s least consistent performers to one of the most. The Spaniard is flourishing as an inverted wing-back in Maresca’s system, with the license to venture forward, as he did plenty in Monday’s game.
Moises Caicedo – 7/10
Moises Caicedo probably gave away too many fouls to score more than a seven out of 10 but his ball-winning was superb once again. There are few better players in the world at regaining possession than the Ecuadorian. He completed all four attempted tackles versus West Ham.

Enzo Fernandez – 8/10
Enzo Fernandez was Chelsea’s standout player in the first half when the home side were struggling to take charge of the game. He continued to impress as the Blues turned the screw in the second half.
Noni Madueke – 6/10
Noni Madueke provided slightly more threat on the right wing than Jadon Sancho did on the left, although not enough to call it a good performance. Madueke has been the Blues’s most productive wide player in the 2024/25 but that’s still an area where he can improve, evidenced by his missed chance in the first half.
Cole Palmer – 7/10
Cole Palmer’s deflected cross looped over West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola into the far corner to give the Blues a much-needed victory. Outside of that, he displayed his class throughout the game and deserved to be on the winning team.

Jadon Sancho – 5/10
Jadon Sancho had one decent chance to score, which he blazed over the bar, and failed to contribute much else. Maresca was obviously unimpressed with the Englishman as he was swapped for Pedro Neto not long after halftime.
Nicolas Jackson – 5/10
Nicolas Jackson struggled throughout the first half and was replaced less than 10 minutes after the interval. He appeared to injure his hamstring early on and it clearly had an impact on his performance so he probably should’ve come off much sooner.
Substitutes
Pedro Neto – 7/10
Marc Guiu – 6/10
Christopher Nkunku – 6/10
Malo Gusto – 6/10
Trevoh Chalobah – N/A
