Team News

After the win at Brighton, Mauricio Pochettino will have more of a feel of which names are standing out as front-runners on the team sheet.

Two of the star men from the Brighton game were Mykhailo Mudryk and Nicolas Jackson. The young duo were simply electric and were huge contributors to sinking the Seagulls. They are definitely within a shout of starting against the Toon.

Saying this, benching Christopher Nkunku doesn’t look like an option. Two goals in two games for the marquee signing means he’s almost untouchable at the moment. Jackson may have to wait on the bench once again with the prolific Frenchman around.

Levi Colwill and Thiago Silva will most likely be the centre-half pairing again and we could also see the first Enzo Fernandez start of the tour.

As for Newcastle – they’ll likely line up similarly to how they did against Aston Villa.

Chelsea vs Newcastle Prediction

This is going to be another tough task for Pochettino. However, after getting past Brighton in the last game – you have to be optimistic.

Newcastle are a step above though. The newly-instated Champions League side plays great football under Eddie Howe. They’ve also invested well, bringing in a ridiculously good CDM in Sandro Tonali.

We think they’ll be goals, for both sides. A draw is what we believe will occur in Atlanta.
