Jason Cundy raved about one Chelsea star in particular after his contribution in Monday night’s Premier League win against West Ham.
Chelsea came from behind to beat West Ham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in yesterday’s league fixture.
It’s a result that lifts the Blues up to fourth position in the division table, but the race for Champions League qualification is extremely tight this season.
Pedro Neto and Marc Cucurella stressed the importance of Chelsea’s win over West Ham, which will hopefully build some momentum after a difficult last month.

Jason Cundy hails Chelsea star who was crucial in West Ham victory
Jason Cundy singled out Chelsea’s Pedro Neto as a key figure in helping them produce a comeback victory against West Ham this week.
Cundy said on Chelsea’s official app (9:55pm, 3 February): “I couldn’t see how we were going to break West Ham down. Bringing Neto on was absolutely key.
“He put the ball in the box, he follows his run and doesn’t stand still, he’s the one on the edge of the six-yard box who puts it in. That was the catalyst and got us back into the game.”
Neto’s goal against West Ham was his biggest moment at Chelsea so far as he made a gigantic impact as a second-half substitute. Hopefully, he can now kick on because his form has been stop-start during his debut campaign with the Blues.
The rapid 24-year-old winger is still trying to replicate the best form he showed at former club Wolverhampton Wanderers. In fact, Neto admits he can be “much better” for Chelsea moving forward.

Remarkable match statistic highlights Pedro Neto impact
Mozo Football shared via X that Neto had more touches in the opposition box (seven) against West Ham than teammates Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke combined.
As mentioned above, we’ve not seen enough of Neto at his very best this term. However, he might actually be the most talented of the bunch when it comes to Chelsea’s selection of wingers.
Madueke has started the last four consecutive league matches for Chelsea on the right wing, scoring twice during that time. We think that Neto has a great case to replace him as the starting right-winger moving forward, though.
With Blues striker Jackson going through a poor run in front of goal, it’s even more important that the wide players in the squad chip in with some more goals.
