Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored his first ever Chelsea goal in yesterday’s success in the Conference League at home to Gent.

Chelsea kickstarted the Conference League group stages on Thursday night by winning 4-2 against Belgian outfit Gent at Stamford Bridge.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, 26, came into the starting line-up as Enzo Maresca made 11 changes to the team last night. He was definitely one of the individuals that seized his chance to impress the manager.

The box-to-box midfielder has stiff competition from the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in the centre of the park, but he gave a great account of himself in midweek. Incidentally, journalist Simon Johnson claimed via X that Maresca celebrated wildly when Dewsbury-Hall got on the scoresheet.
