Former Wales defender Sam Ricketts thinks Cole Palmer carried a lot of threat in Chelsea’s game against Everton today.
Cole Palmer has been a revelation for Chelsea since joining the club from Manchester City in the summer, and Sam Ricketts was impressed with his latest performance.
The retired full-back was speaking about the English attacker on BBC Radio 5 Live (10/12/2023 at 14:57).
Palmer has been a key player for Chelsea, but Mauricio Pochettino has warned his team that they cannot expect him to do everything.

Ricketts thought Palmer was Chelsea’s most dangerous player in the first half of their game at Goodison Park.
He said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Cole Palmer still looking Chelsea’s most dangerous player. Any time he gets on his left foot, anywhere around the box he’s looking to shoot.”

Cole Palmer Chelsea’s most dangerous player
Right now, it is clear to see that Palmer is the deadliest weapon in Chelsea’s arsenal.
He converts all of his penalties, makes things happen and has shown versatility, playing on the right and behind the striker.
However, that is not going to be enough for Chelsea to qualify for the Champions League. But at this point, there is probably not anything that can help the Blues finish in the top four this season.
They are so far behind where they actually need to be and are showing nothing to suggest that that will change any time soon.
Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Chelsea are still backing their manager, but you really have to start fearing for Mauricio Pochettino‘s future now.
Since he has been at Stamford Bridge, there have been a couple of positives, Palmer, for example.
But come May, Chelsea fans will not have anything to smile about if the club have failed to qualify for the Champions League and not won any trophies, which is a strong possibility. Individually, it has been a good season for Palmer, but collectively, he will view the campaign as an utter disaster so far.
