Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui has been speaking following his side’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
Noussair Mazraoui started in what was not the most exciting clash between Manchester United and Chelsea.
The defender and his team looked like they could win the game after going 1-0 up in the 70th minute through a Bruno Fernandes penalty.
However, a brilliant strike from Moises Caicedo a few minutes later ensured that the points were shared. Former Liverpool defender Jim Beglin absolutely loved Caicedo’s hit, which will go down as one of the goals of the season.

Noussair Mazraoui not satisfied with result
Considering the season that United are having and the form that Chelsea have been in under Enzo Maresca, a draw is not the worst outcome.
For Mazraoui, though, the Red Devils deserved to win. In an interview with MUTV, which has been shared by United’s official website, the full-back said: “We fought really hard.
“But I think, eventually, if you look at the game and the chances we created, we deserved to win.”
By the end of the game, Maresca was also irked, paying a visit to referee Robert Jones to ask why Lisandro Martinez had not been sent off for a bad tackle on Cole Palmer.
Did Manchester United deserve three points against Chelsea?
United and Chelsea were quite close in stats. While Chelsea had more possession than United, according to BBC Sport, both sides registered roughly the same number of shots.
| Manchester United’s ball possession | Chelsea’s ball possession |
| 46% | 54% |
The home team recorded 11, while the latter registered 12. It was also four to three when it came to shots on target.
Ultimately, while Mazraoui may feel that United deserved to win the game, a draw was probably a fair result.
It is a good point for Chelsea, taking the Blues into the top four following Arsenal and Aston Villa’s defeats over the weekend.
The Gunners lost 1-0 to Newcastle United, while Tottenham Hotspur beat the Villans 4-1.
Chelsea take on Arsenal next at Stamford Bridge. Win that, and Maresca’s men can show how serious they are about finishing in the top four this season.
