Chelsea were unable to leave Anfield with anything earlier, losing 2-1 against Liverpool.
However, there were still some positives for Enzo Maresca‘s side to take away. Some players actually put in good performances.
Nicolas Jackson managed to get his name on the scoresheet, impressing former Everton midfielder Leon Osman in the process. Osman praised Jackson’s finishing during the game, claiming that it is getting better.
Moises Caicedo also had quite a good match, which has not gone unnoticed.

Janusz Michallik on Moises Caicedo
Despite losing the game, ESPN pundit Janusz Michallik had positive words to say about Caicedo and Chelsea as a whole.
The former USA international claimed that the midfielder was “very good again” and also stated that Chelsea are “on the rise”.
The Blues’ loss to Liverpool means they finish the weekend outside of the top four. But having only lost to the Reds and Manchester City, it certainly has not been the worst start to the season for them.
Liverpool legend Graeme Souness thinks Maresca has already won over his players despite not being at the club for long.
Moises Caicedo’s performance against Liverpool
Caicedo was the highest-rated Chelsea player on Sofascore, earning a match rating of 7.5.
The 22-year-old also won five ground duels, according to the same website, which was more than any other Chelsea player.
Maresca started Caicedo, who earns £150,000 a week (via Spotrac) at Stamford Bridge, alongside Romeo Lavia.
Costing more than £100m, it is hard to imagine Maresca leaving Enzo Fernandez out of his starting XI too often. But if the 44-year-old can go with Caicedo and Lavia against Liverpool, then he could go with that against any team.
What is clear is that Caicedo is Chelsea’s first-choice midfielder. Either Lavia or Fernandez will partner him, while the Chelsea manager also has the option of playing all three of them, which he did at the start of the season versus Manchester City.
